New online car buying service launches in Germany and UK

Company car drivers in Germany and the UK can use virtual reality technology to inspect new cars from the inside and outside, via a new one-stop-car shop called YesAuto.

The website and app launches today and aims to connect car buyers to dealers, including the option to book test drives and take a virtual reality 360-degree tour of a car. The site will include car reviews and videos of new models.

YesAuto says a series of behavioural-led algorithms will match customers with potential cars, based on their individual requirements. The online platform will present side-by-side comparisons of rival makes and models, and drivers will be able to configure their preferred car, from paint to wheels to seats and interiors. YesAuto will then calculate a guide price as well as referring the request to dealers.

Neil You, General Manager of YesAuto, said: “Through the site, we are making car buying as simple as possible whilst also giving discerning customers access to the widest range of vehicles so they can browse and buy from wherever they are, safe in the knowledge they are getting a great car, at the right price.”

Drivers will also be able to rate the cars they choose, building a database of user reviews.
