Sofico sets off on serious recruitment drive

It’s a job seekers market right now and like many companies struggling to fill vacancies, Ghent-based fleet management software provider Sofico is currently on a serious recruitment drive.

Not just a handful of people either, the multinational supplier for automotive financing, leasing, fleet and mobility management software, is looking to hire 130 new staff, including: project managers, business and technical consultants, software engineers, analysts and support staff worldwide.

A presence in local markets

This is due primarily to record sales in 2021, in which Sofico generated revenues of €55 million, an increase of more than 13% over the previous 12 months. If this trend continues, the forecasts of €65 million and 19% growth in 2022 look likely - if the company can recruit enough people that is.

Sofico has offices in the UK, Germany, France and the Netherlands and is active in 27 countries worldwide. Its approach is to have local facilities for the most important markets, instead of centralisation.

“That is why in the past four years, we have opened new local offices. With an accelerated transition to electrification and shared fleets, product development is shifting up several speeds: new markets, innovative integration and, above all, a mobility shift on an unprecedented scale.” said CEO Gémar Hompes.
