DriveNow expands in London
BMW is expanding its DriveNow car-sharing service to London, going from four to nine boroughs. The new boroughs, Westminster, Barnet, Tower Hamlets, Southwark and Brent come on top of those where DriveNow was also operating: Islington, Hackney, Haringey, Waltham Forest.
DriveNow is now operating a fleet of 720 BMW and Mini vehicles in the British capital.
In 2014, rival carmaker Daimler discontinued its Car2Go operations in London, citing difficulties in coordinating between 33 districts and encouraging motorists out of their cars.
