Söldner new CEO at CarGarantie
On 1 January, Dr Marcus Söldner (pictured right) will succeed Axel Berger (pictured centre) as CEO of CarGarantie. Mr Berger will join the company’s Supervisory Board. Dr Söldner will lead the company as CEO and Chairman of the Board, with the assistance of Wolfgang Bach (pictured left), CFO and Head of the General Administration.
Mr Berger (62) joined CarGarantie in 1989 and held various sales management positions before joining the Management Board. His most recent major strategic achievement was the establishment of an international cooperation with International Warranty Solutions (IWS). After more than 20 years on the Board, including 12 years as CEO, Mr Berger has now decided to move to the Supervisory Board.
Prior to his new appointment, Dr Söldner (47), who joined the Board in 2016, has been responsible for the markets in Western and Eastern Europe and Asia, as well as Business Development and Marketing. Before joining CarGarantie, he held management positions at Allianz, BMW Group and Nissan, among others.
Following Dr Söldner’s move, Mr Bach (60) will take over a number of other internal areas, such as Warranty Management and the Legal Department.

It has an international presence in 22 countries throughout Europe and Asia, and currently has 2.1 million warranty contracts, a premium volume of €200 million and co-operations with over 40 manufacturers/importers and 23,000 specialist dealers.
