Frotcom launches Real-time Tracking and celebrates 25th anniversary
Portugal-based fleet technology company Frotcom is celebrating 25 years in the business of GPS tracking and fleet management software, while also looking to the future with Real-time Tracking.
Launched in 1997, Frotcom 1.0 started life as a system to manage and control vehicle fleets. Back then, it could locate vehicles in under 5 minutes. Today, the solution has evolved into an advanced Cloud-based SaaS module platform integrating telematics, software and analytics, thus enabling customers to optimise fleet performance.
Keeping an eye on driver safety
The company has a consolidated international presence in over 40 countries, and is used by more than 5,000 companies worldwide.
The new Real-time Tracking mode enables fleet managers to receive information from their vehicles approximately every second. In addition, a soon-to-be-launched Extended CANBus Collection will enable more parameters from fleet vehicles to be read, allowing companies to train drivers on the job.
