PSA and FCA continue joint-manufacturing LCVs until 2023
French OEM PSA (Peugeot-Citroën-DS-Opel-Vauxhall) and Italian automotive group FCA (Fiat, Alfa Romeo, Jeep) have signed an agreement to extend their industrial cooperation in the van area until 2023.
The Fiat Ducato, Peugeot Boxer and Citroën Jumper/Relay will continue to be built at the Sevel plant. The factory will also be making additional models for Opel and Vauxhall - presumably the successor to the Movano, which is now being produced by Renault (alongside the Master).
Inaugurated in 1981 in Val di Sangro (Atessa, southern Italy), the Sevel site employs 6,200 people and is the biggest and most flexible LCV factory in Europe.
