How to control TCO while electrifying LCVs

Solving the challenges of translating bold corporate environmental commitments into practical operational solutions will be at the heart of Fleet Europe’s first ever LCV Expert Day.

Decision makers from some of Europe’s largest and highest profile light commercial vehicle fleets have already registered to attend the event, which takes place on 15 June in Zusmarshausen, near Augsberg in Germany.

Participation is restricted to executives with responsibilities for procuring and managing LCV fleets.

TCO and eLCVs

High on the agenda is the challenge of controlling total cost of ownership (TCO) while electrifying vehicles to meet corporate decarbonisation goals. Patrik Havranek, Head of Group Fleet Management, ISS Facility Services, will explain how his fleet found a balance between eLCV range and charging capabilities to minimise costs and vehicle downtime while vans are plugged in.

LCVs are business tools that must be fit for purpose, but corporate needs change along with vehicle capabilities. Kim Stenberg, Head of Global Procurement, Vestas Wind Systems, will present how Vestas selects the right vehicles, and then finances, manages and monitors them intelligently, so they are fit for purpose and contribute to the company’s success.

Break-out sessions

With different fleets at different stages of their electrification journeys, two break-out sessions at the LCV Expert Day will give fleet decision makers the chance to discuss issues and compare experiences with peers, as well as discover new solutions and products designed specifically for LCV operators.

And, naturally, fleet safety and security are never far from the agenda of LCV fleet managers, so the event will investigate the opportunities for advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) and telematics to reduce vehicle collisions and minimise the frequency and severity of insurance claims.

THE LCV EXPERT DAY TAKES PLACE ON 15 JUNE AT THE HEADQUARTERS OF SORTIMO IN ZUSMARSHAUSEN, GERMANY. REGISTER HERE.

The event is supported by Sortimo, Geotab, Holman, Sixt and ALD Automotive.
