Russia's LCV market drops 10% in July

In July, only about 7,500 new LCVs were sold in Russia, 9.8% less than in the same month last year. According to figures released by autostat.ru, this constitutes the third consecutive month of shrinkage for Russian LCV sales.
Local brand GAZ (pictured) continues to lead the Russian LCV market, with sales of 3,800 units representing well over half of the total volume – and up by 7.8% over July 2015. Second and third place were also for Russian manufacturers, with UAZ selling over 1,300 units (-34% year-on-year) and Lada 611 units (-0.7%). Mercedes-Benz sold 539 units (-31.6%) Ford, closing the Top Five, 316 units (+ 27.4%).
For the year to date, the new LCV market in Russia totalled 47,600 units, 8% less than in the first seven months of 2015.
