Royal Mail trials e-Trikes

Royal Mail is runing a pilot project to deliver letters and parcels with e-trikes. The e-trikes are designed to fight many battles at the same time: traffic congestion, air pollution and even road danger. Moreover, to obtain zero emission, the trikes are powered by a combination of solar, battery, pedal and brake technology.
The e-trikes will be operated in Stratford, Cambridge and Sutton Coldfield. After a trial period of 6 months, Royal Mail will decide whether and where to expand the fleet across the country. In addition, the London Royal Mail can be an example for other carriers to provide their last mile emission and traffic free.
