A German automotive specialist invested ten million euros in Etergo, formerly known as Bolt Mobility, to fund the large-scale production of its first electric scooter model.

The Amsterdam-based startup wants to deliver a sustainable alternative for diesel and petrol vehicles in the shape of an electric scooter. The AppScooter is not only sustainable but smart as well by featuring several smart applications such as a 7-inch touchscreen, 4G internet and smartphone connectivity allowing drivers to access various smartphone application on the scooter display.

The Amsterdam-based startup already raised 5 million euros for its project in 2017. The first deliveries will be made in the Netherlands and in Germany in the second half of 2019, followed by the UK and other markets. The AppScooter beats the range anxiety for electric vehicles with its range of up to 240 kilometers at a maximum speed of 45 km/h.
