Fastned opens fast charging stations at Van der Valk in Germany

Fastned has opened a first fast charging station at a Van der Valk hotel in Gladbeck, along the A2 Autobahn, as part of its ambition to build a Europe-wide fast charging station network.

The Fastned fast charging station in Gladbeck has a 50kW and a 175kW fast charger, allowing for charging times up to 50 times faster than at home and with 100% renewable energy.

Fastned plans to build 1,000 fast charging stations across Europe, of which several hundred in Germany. Currently, the company operates 87 fast charging stations, including 9 in Germany. Several more will be opened at Van der Valk locations.

Charging at a Fastned charger can be paid with almost any charge card, bank account or credit card.
