Steffen Krautwasser appointed head of SAP car fleet

Steffen Krautwasser was appointed the global head of SAP’s car fleet organisation on 1 July 2018. He is now responsible for mobility management and the company’s fleet of 24,500 vehicles. Mr Krautwasser succeeded Markus Falk who became responsible for Real Estate and Facilities of SAP in Germany.

Focus areas

As the global head of Car Fleet, Steffen Krautwasser and his team are working on the changes the new WLTP fuel consumption and emissions standard will bring, and on adopting an end-to-end mobility strategy. One of Krautwasser’s main aims is to encourage innovation at the company by making SAP an early customer of its own mobility solutions so it can draw on its ideas.

Employee mobility management

SAP’s aim is to offer its employees the mobility opportunities that suit them best and that fit the company’s sustainability goals. Apart from driving the e-fleet topic, this includes the ride sharing app TwoGo by SAP and the popular bike leasing programme. Public transport is also part of the integrated mobility concept.

Background

In 2005, after completing his degree in business informatics at the University of Mannheim, Germany, Steffen Krautwasser joined SAP Deutschland’s risk management consulting team. He spent five years there as a consultant to various national and international clients. In 2010, he moved to the internal process management unit at SAP SE, where he was in charge of many global projects in different roles in the Global Finance and Administration Board area.
