Kinto appoints new CEO

Kinto Europe has appointed Miguel Fonseca as its new CEO. In this role he will also be assigned as SVP for Connected Technologies & Mobility at Toyota Motor Europe. This new role builds on Mr Fonseca's 35 years' experience in the automotive industry.

Kinto Europe was founded to roll out various mobility services for Toyota Motor Europe in 2020. Effective 1 July 2021, Miguel Fonseca will replace Tom Fux as its CEO. Mr Fux has been promoted to SVP of Sales at TME, where he will oversee Sales, Marketing, Value Chain & Customer Experience for both the Toyota and Lexus brands.

Kylie Jimenez has been promoted to SVP People & Innovation, Information, Technology & Digital and Corporate Affaires at TME, taking over a position Mr Fonseca held for a year and a half. Earlier, he held various roles for Toyota in Latin America, where he was in charge of sales, marketing and business transformation in Brazil, Argentina and Venezuela. From 2012 to 2015, Mr Fonseca was President of Toyota Financial Services Europe & Africa Region. From 2001 to 2010, he held leadership roles for Toyota in the United Kingdom, Spain and at the European Headquarters. Before joining Toyota, Mr Fonseca built his career at Fiat, Wunderman and Ford, going back to 1986.
