'Mobility' gets a seat on the Daimler FS Board

Two major personnel moves at Daimler Financial Services:

• Jörg Lamparter (pictured), Head of Mobility Services, will additionally become Board Member for 'Digital and Mobility Solutions', effective June 1st; and
• Benedikt Schell, now still Chief Experience Officer (CXO) on the Daimler FS Board of Management, will move to become Chairman of Mercedes-Benz Bank in Germany.

“In Jörg Lamparter, we are gaining a recognised expert in digital mobility services,” said Klaus Entenmann, Chairman of Daimler FS, about the new Board Member. Mr Lamparter will be tasked with merging the growing fields of digitisation and mobility. His appointment is the latest signal of Daimler FS's strategic realignment towards mobility services. Another is the company's name-change, this summer, to Daimler Mobility.

Mr Lamparter played a major role in creating YOUR NOW, the joint venture between the mobility services of Daimler and BMW in January 2019. He will remain head of Daimler Mobility Services – which by the end of last year had 31 million customers worldwide.
