SIXT ride integrated into Google Maps

Mobility provider Sixt and tech giant Google have announced a partnership deal for Germany. Everyone who uses Google Maps to find a route can now choose SIXT ride as their taxi transfer option straight from the mapping application.
Initially, the option will be available in 21 cities across Germany. These include large cities like Berlin, Munich and Frankfurt, but also medium-sizes ones like Bonn, Hanau and Rüsselsheim. More cities and regions will be added as time goes on.
And not just in Germany: “It is our goal to extend our cooperation with Google internationally in the future, thus opening up further markets for SIXT ride via Google Maps,” says Konrad Thoma, Senior VP SIXT ride at Sixt SE.
SIXT ride works with local taxi companies, providing its customers access to one of the largest digital networks of taxi services on offer, ensuring high availability and short waiting times.
Google Maps users choosing SIXT ride will be forwarded to SIXT ONE, the company’s mobility platform. There, they can choose between different vehicle categories, including Premium Taxi, Standard Taxi and Taxi Van.
Additionally, in some cities, customers can opt for taxis with separation protection. SIXT is currently the only provider in Google Maps to offer this option, popular due to COVID-19.
