Leasys launches car subscription service in Italy

Leasys has launched CarBox on the Italian market, an on-demand car subscription service that can be booked on Amazon.

Leasys, the FCA Bank subsidiary that is now a part of the Stellantis brand, offers CarBox customers a vehicle from 1 day to 240 days per year, to be booked up to 24 hours in advance. The vehicles come in three sizes:

  • Compact: Fiat Panda, 500, Lancia Ypsilon, Opel Corsa
  • Medium: adding the 500L, 500X,  New electric 500, Tipo, Fiorino, Doblò on top of the Compact package
  • Large: adding Jeep  Renegade  and  Compass including the 4xe versions with hybrid PHEV engines, and  the Ducato Van.

Subscribing to CarBox is an entirely digital process. Once the annual registration voucher has been purchased on Amazon.it for €99, it can be converted on the CarBox website, where customers can choose the garage they want to subscribe to. The monthly fee starts from €219.

Leasys has not disclosed whether the service will be introduced onto other markets, but it can be expected this will depend on the success CarBox encounters in Italy.
