Drop off your car on a car park for your service appointment

A large dealer group in the Netherlands, De Waal Autogroep, has come up with a way to make it easier to get your car to the dealership for service appointments. Drivers can drop off their vehicle at a car park along a motorway and pick up a replacement car 24/7.

De Waal Autogroep, a dealer of Volkswagen, Audi, Skoda and Seat that also has its own car leasing company, introduced its Drop & Drive car park along the A2 motorway.

Drivers can park their car, drop their keys in a secure terminal and get the keys to a replacement vehicle that’s waiting for them. When their car is ready, they receive a message inviting them to pick up their vehicle in the same way. As the car park is unmanned, this can be done at any time of the day or night.

This new service can make things easier for drivers who don’t like losing time going to the actual dealership - of course provided the car park on the A2 motorway is on their way.
