Pon and NS merge mobility subsidiaries
Dutch automotive conglomerate Pon and Dutch national railway company NS are merging their mobility subsidiaries. Next Urban Mobility (Pon) and Hely (NS) will continue together as Hely.
The merger will allow Hely, which until now offered shared-mobility solutions based on NS’s public-transport offer, to provide a broader range of services to its clients – in the first place, corporates and residents of neighbourhoods wanting to use shared mobility.
The company aims to open 30 to 40 new hubs in large cities across the Netherlands. In a later stage, public hubs will be developed at train stations.
