Edenred launches mobility vouchers in France

Well known for its meal vouchers (pictured), Edenred France will be launching mobility vouchers in September. Corporates will be able to load them with up to €400 credit for all sorts of mobility solutions.

Edenred, a multinational services and payment platform, is a leading player in the meal voucher market in many countries, including France.

Voucher principle
In that country, the company has already expanded the voucher principle to include gifts (Kadeos) and even child minders (Cesu). The next frontier: mobility.

From September, Edenred France’s corporate clients will be able to present their employees with mobility vouchers, loaded with an amount of up to €400 per year, which they can exchange for fuel or mobility services.

A French law enacted in 2019 explicitly enables the provision of digital vouchers for corporate employees as payment for their commutes to and from work – be it by car or other mobility modes.

Corporate mobility
The aim is to increase the purchasing power and quality of life of the employees, as well as to simplify the management of corporate mobility.

The money loaded onto the card can be spent via a network of affiliated service providers. Employees will be able to log on to the mobile app Myedenred to spend their mobility vouchers.

“Via our meal vouchers, our network already includes 150,000 companies in France,” says Julien Tanguy, general manager of Edenred France.
