Uber to fight on in UK setback

The latest twist in the ongoing saga about what the relationship between Uber and its drivers is, took place a few days ago in London. The Court of Appeal rejected an appeal by Uber against its drivers being considered as independent workers. The Court ruled that these drivers should be considered as employees and therefore have the right to minimum conditions of employment including such elements as paid holidays. Uber intends to take the case to the Supreme Court. It should be pointed out that this affair only applies to the UK, but that what happens in the Uber domain in one country, is closely analysed in others…
