The Mobility House to manage 100% EV fleet for Austrian Post

By 2030, Austrian Post (Österreichische Post) will only use 100% electric vehicles, a process it started in 2011. Today, Austrian Post already operates the largest EV fleet in Austria and it has an extensive charger network across the country. The deal with The Mobility House is intended to facilitate managing this charging network.

Across Austria, 80% of all delivery districts use electric vehicles, charging them with 2,400 AC and DC charging stations at over 130 depot locations. Going forward, The Mobility House will manage this network with its ChargePilot system, which is already in use by about 10% of all electric buses in Europe to manage charging times and power requirements. ChargePilot is also used by the largest electric bus fleets in the United States.

ChargePilot enables Austrian Post to take advantage of lower electricity pricing throughout the day and to ensure cost-optimised charging across its fleet, without investing in costly infrastructure expansion. ChargePilot also quickly identifies potential failures across the charging network, allowing for preventive maintenance and strengthening operational reliability. Additionally, the solution can be used to prioritise the charging of certain vehicles to, for example, guarantee the range of individual vans as needed.
