Bonnet offers cut price charging for EV drivers

From November 8th, 2022, EV drivers (consumer and fleet) across Europe will be able to enjoy discounts of 10-15% below charging network rates with the new ‘boost’ app and price plan from charging aggregator Bonnet.

Drivers of electric cars will benefit from heavily discounted public charging across the UK and European roads network.

For just £2 per month, Bonnet will offer a 10% discount for drivers using any of its 80,000+ chargers in the UK, Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland under its ‘Light Boost’ payment plan. For a subscription of £8 per month, Bonnet will guarantee drivers a 15% discount on all their charging costs under its ‘Turbo Boost’ package.

Both packages could save motorists using Bonnet’s network hundreds of pounds in recharging costs each year.

Patrick Reich, co-founder and CEO of Bonnet, said: “We are driven to make the EV charging experience as simple, flexible and affordable as possible for everyone. With our new simpler price plan, whether you are taking it slow on a lamp-post charger or juicing up quick at a service station, you will make significant guaranteed savings with Bonnet.

Bonnet’s new price plan will offer three different tariffs for customers:

  • Pay-As-You-Go – the standard free service where the cost at a charger will be the price set by the charging network (with no added margin by Bonnet)
  • Light Boost – for £2/month Bonnet will reduce all charging costs by 10%
  • Turbo Boost – for £8/month Bonnet will reduce all charging costs by 15%
