Shell helps fleet customers to offset carbon emissions
Fleets can offset the carbon dioxide emissions of their company cars and vans via a new carbon neutral service offered by Shell.
The oil giant is giving its UK customers the chance to offset their greenhouse gas emissions for free with every purchase of petrol or diesel made with a Shell fuel card.
Shell is purchasing carbon credits from projects that protect and regenerate forests to offset its customers’ emissions. The company expects to buy £10 million of carbon credits in the next year.
A similar system is already live in the Netherlands, where 20% of Shell customers are now driving carbon neutrally.
The UK scheme is also open to Shell customers using the Go+ app or card.
