Athlon partnership with DCS provides access to 600,000 charging points across Europe

Athlon is partnering with Digital Charging Solutions (DCS) to offer its customers convenient EV charging solutions across Europe. Athlon customers will be able to charge and pay at more than 600,000 charging points in 30 countries, with only one card and app.

“A seamless charging experience is key in the transition to driving EVs”, says Athlon CEO Christian Schüler (pictured left). “We chose to partner with DCS to provide our customers access to the largest charging network in Europe and thus make electric driving as convenient as possible for them.”

Athlon will start rolling out the service in 2024 and inform its customers accordingly.

Through the partnership with DCS, Athlon’s customers will have access CHARGE NOW, one of the largest and fastest-growing, fully integrated public charging network in Europe. DCS’s services are GDPR-compliant and guarantee best-in-class data quality for easy charging.

As the developer of white-label digital charging solutions for OEMs and fleet operators, Germany-based DCS is an important driver of the switch to electromobility. Since 2019, DCS has been part of the mobility joint venture between BMW Group and Mercedes-Benz Group. In 2021, BP became the third shareholder in the company.

Says Jörg Reimann, CEO of DCS (pictured right): “Our technology is also integrated into the navigation systems of many OEMs, so drivers can be assured that the options given to them en route are indeed available. Range anxiety is no longer existent for people and companies using DCS technology.”
