Cabify and Mobilize extend partnership to boost sustainable mobility in Spain
Cabify, the international multi-mobility platform, has extended its partnership in Spain with Mobilize, Renault Group's mobility brand, to offer all-inclusive mobility solutions for fleets and drivers across the country.
The exclusive partnership will see Cabify's platform provide full access to Mobilize Driver Solutions, the mobility services of Mobilize. Mobilize Drive Solutions has an all-inclusive package, with maintenance, warranty, insurance and assistance, along with the vehicle designed for the service itself, the Mobilize Limo (pictured).
Last year, Cabify became the first global customer of Mobilize Driver Solutions. Now, through the extended partnership, Cabify offers access to an exclusive package for ride-hailing fleets and taxis. Companies and self-employed owners of ride-hailing services are able to subscribe to the all-inclusive package until 31 March 2023, from €1,200 per month.
100% electric
Via Limo, Cabify and Mobilize offer several advantages of e-mobility and connected technologies to drivers and passengers:
- Fully independent of Low Emission Zone (LEZ) restrictions in any city;
- 450 km range; well above average daily urban journey range;
- Charging up for 250 km in 40 minutes with a DC charger;
- Updates via FOTA (Firmware-over-the-Air) - especially critical for fleets.
For every fleet, switching to e-mobility is a critical prerequisite to reach sustainability goals. Since the collaboration between Cabify and Mobilize kicked off last May, Mobilize Limo has avoided over 100 tonnes of CO2 emissions and saved more than 75,000 litres of fuel in Madrid. According to Cabify, the cost of a 100 km journey in an EV is around 70% lower than a hybrid or diesel vehicle.
Since the partnership is seen as boosting sustainable mobility at a European level, Cabify was granted a €40-million loan by the European Investment Bank (EIB) to pursue its decarbonisation goals. For its part, Renault Group aims to reach group-wide carbon neutrality in Europe by 2040.
