Meet the 2021 Fleet Europe Awards' nominees

In 2021, international corporate fleet and mobility managers have been confronted with a variety of unforeseen challenges. So, more than ever they deserve to get recognition for their efforts.

Here is the list of the 2021 Fleet Europe Awards' nominees that participate in the categories for Fleet & Mobility Managers. The award ceremony will take place at the Fleet Europe Summit, on November 10th.

Jeannette Töller, 3M

Title : EMEA Sub-Category Sourcing Manager, 3M

Sector : Multi-Technology

Responsible for : 11,100 vehicles worldwide; 4,700 vehicles in Europe

Short abstract : Jeannette has guided the fleet management team at 3M to successfully navigate many challenges and execute complex projects that have included: drastically reducing the number of preferred global fleet suppliers; implementing a global fleet policy; deploying sustainability guidance, and harmonising processes

Ricardo Koevoet, ABB

Title : Procurement Team Lead Fleet Global ABB

Sector : Automation

Responsible for :10,479 vehicles worldwide; 7,810 vehicles in Europe

Short abstract : Ricardo has been at the helm of one of ABB’s most ambitious fleet and sustainability projects. Almost a decade ago, the company made public its intent to electrify its vehicle fleet by 2030. In 2014, ABB introduced EVs into its car policy in the Netherlands. Ricardo oversaw a new chapter in 2019 and in 2020, the first pilot countries, including the UK, moved to fully electric vehicles.

Franz Fehlner, Allianz

Title : Global Category Leader Fleet Management & Services Allianz

Sector : Finance & Technology

Responsible for : 24,371 vehicles worldwide; 23,142 vehicles in Europe

Short abstract : Franz has designed, created, and implemented a standardised mobility policy that includes company cars, bikes, and train tickets and restricts employees to hybrid and electric vehicles. The initiative is delivering a huge environmental impact for the Allianz Group. Additionally, Franz has created a fully-shared-service centre that bundles together sustainable mobility expertise and governance.

Jan-Hendrik Rauhut, Bayer

Title : Global Head of Mobility Bayer

Sector : Life Science

Responsible for : 27,000 vehicles worldwide; 12,000 vehicles in Europe

Short abstract : Jan-Hendrik has tackled the thorny problem of standardising processes, delivering sustainability and cost-efficient procurement. It’s been achieved with global accountability, despite constantly shifting responsibilities and shrinking resources. The results are impressive, including consolidation of leasing provider and OEM portfolios and an electrification strategy.

Ikhwan Rosli, BP

Title : Category Manager BP

Sector : Integrated Energy Company

Responsible for : 5,850 vehicles worldwide; 2,500 vehicles in Europe

Short abstract : Ikhwan heads a strong team that has transitioned fleet procurement from a local set up to global. They’ve transformed supply and refreshed strategy to algin more closely with BP’s purpose and ambitions. This has included introducing Low Emission Car Plan in the UK, developing a central fleet dashboard and ensuring compliance, safety, control of data analytics, and enhanced customer experience.

Yuliya Lapenkova, Danone

Title : Global Sr Procurement manager Vehicles C&B, Danone

Sector : Food

Responsible for : 14,050 vehicles worldwide; 8,000 vehicles in Europe

Short abstract : Yuliya has guided the team at Danone through the launch of a global car policy with bold sustainability targets. It encapsulates electrifying the fleet of benefit cars in all countries and shifting to mobility by 2025. The team is now rolling out the policy in all countries, supporting local teams with market intelligence and engaging partners to contribute to the strategy’s success.

Agnieszka Rychter, Elanco

Title : EMEA Indirect Procurement Director, Global Fleet Strategy Lead, Elanco

Sector : Animal healthcare

Responsible for : 2, 499 vehicles worldwide; 780 vehicles in Europe

Short abstract : Agnieszka has been responsible for overseeing a range of first-time initiatives at Elanco, including supplier consolidation and implementing a global fleet policy for local affiliates. Additionally, the policy supports international languages, mandates the use of approved suppliers only, standardises vehicle specification, and aligns with sustainability and environmental goals.

Marcella Berta Mauri, HP

Title : Global Fleet Strategist HP

Sector : Electronics & Technology

Responsible for : 4,654 vehicles worldwide; 2,410 vehicles in Europe

Short abstract : Marcella has successfully completed the consolidation of an approved supplier base in an outsourced model, which aligns with HP’s aspiration to become one of the world’s most sustainable technology companies. Marcella has developed a global sustainability strategy, which includes (among other things) converting to 100% EV by 2030 and installing charging stations at locations worldwide.

Nikola Vuckovic, Philip Morris International

Title : Sr. Manager Global Market & Fleet Safety Philip Morris International

Sector : Tobacco 

Responsible for : 22,650 vehicles worldwide; 7,100 vehicles in Europe

Short abstract : Nikola has overseen the successful roll-out of a comprehensive fleet safety management program. The aim was to implement a sustainable fleet management model while reducing TCO. Using lessons learned from previous years, specifics included: a proactive, risky-driving detection platform; a robust fleet safety program, plus balance of behavioural agendas, technology and company fleet policy.

Olga Nevska, Deutsche Telekom

Title : CEO, Telekom Mobility Solutions

Sector : Integrated Telecommunication

Responsible for : 44,000 vehicles worldwide; 44,000 vehicles in Europe

Short abstract : Olga has been in charge of a strategy to shift from car to mobility for all employees. Olga has successfully driven the diversification of vehicle fleet in the direction of electric and micro-mobility, which has resulted in (among other things) purpose-driven mobility and an increase in fleet utilization. Olga is now leading the development of a MaaS platform and app.

Carl Doyle, United Utilities

Title : Green Fleet Business Lead, United Utilities

Sector : Utilities (Water & Wastewater)

Responsible for : 1,822 vehicles worldwide; 1,822 vehicles in Europe

Short abstract :  Carl has been in charge of developing United Utilities’ strategy to transition to an alternatively fuelled fleet by 2028. This has entailed overseeing trials of HVO renewable diesel, and Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) powered trucks. For LCVs, the rollout of Vodafone/ Geotab telematics has identified those suitable for electrification, and clarified understanding of onsite charging needs.

Adam Longenecker, Zimmer Biomet

Title : Strategic Sourcing Lead EMEA, Zimmer Biomet

Sector : Medical Technology

Responsible for : 1,141 vehicles worldwide; 1,075 vehicle in Europe

Short abstract :  Adam has headed up Zimmer Biomet’s Car Fleet program, which includes consolidating 18 leasing suppliers and 14 OEMs. Adam has also overseen EMEA company car policy and the creation of a centralized vehicle List, plus implementation of an online driver training program. The result has been better conditions, savings, a new electrification program and framework to improve safety.

The results of the 2021 Fleet Europe Awards will be announced at a glittering ceremony that will take place on the 10th November, in Brussels, concluding this year’s Fleet Europe Summit.
