Low emissions and a thrilling drive
The NEW DS 7 adds low emissions, thrilling driving capability and the latest technology to an already award-winning car.
Building on the success of the previous DS 7, the new vehicle focuses on greater modern fleet capability with three plug-in hybrid models. Our aim is to be fully electric by 2024.
There are three versions of the DS 7 Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV), and all are mated to our 1.6-litre petrol engine and 8-speed automatic transmission.
The most efficient of the PHEV cars is the E-TENSE 225 with a larger 14.2kW/h battery pack and an electric-only range of 81 km in urban areas. Over a combined cycle (WLTP) the electric range has increased by 15% to make the car an even more enticing (and efficient) offering to fleet purchasers.
Additional electric motor and all-wheel drive
The E-TENSE 300 uses the same petrol engine as the 225 models but adds an additional electric motor at the rear to give 300hp and all-wheel drive.
The top-of-the-range E-TENSE 4X4 360 is the most powerful at 360hp with two electric motors. This GT-like car will transport you from 0-100 km/h in just 5.6 seconds and still only produces 40 g/km CO2.
Formula E technology and expertise
Double championship-winning Formula E technology and expertise are present in all our models. These cars have race heritage but are also whisper quiet in ’zero emissions mode’. This technology also helps with regenerative braking that recharges the battery during deceleration and when you brake.
In some models, you can then store that energy to be used for the last few kilometres of your journey. If you’re arriving at a meeting in a low-emission zone area, for example.
The technology doesn’t just exist at the business end of the vehicles though. Internally there is a whole range of technological magic to make your drivers’ life easier - and safer.
All models feature an immersive cockpit with a 12.3-inch digital instrument panel and a large 12-inch HD central screen which is organised by widgets and allows you to have the ones you use most front and centre.
