New Peugeot 308 SW is aiming to attract fleet managers

Peugeot has just revealed its all-new 308 SW and it has a series of interesting fleet characteristics to continue its success in the well appreciated C-segment in Europe. It should as corporate sales represent 70% of the model’s total sales in Europe.

According to the brand itself, the new 308 SW integrates a technologically sophisticated design with a larger volume capacity to offer better efficiency. The design comes with improved safety and comfort, and with CO2-friendly powertrains, e.g. two hybrid electric engine options, which need to appeal to fleet managers and drivers.

Full electric range of 60 km

The new Peugeot SW 308 wheelbase is extended 55mm compared to the new 308 saloon, to provide more space as it has a length of 4.64 m and a wheelbase of 2.73 m. The maximum loading volume reaches 1,634 litres when the modular row 2 seats are folded.

The aerodynamic design, augmented through the optimization of all body parts promotes lower energy consumption and limits carbon emission.

Besides the petrol and diesel engines, Peugeot 308 SW has the Hybrid 225 e-EAT8 and Hybrid 180 e-EAT8 options. The Hybrid 225 e offers the combination of a 180 bhp engine (132 kW) and an 81 kW electric engine with C02 emissions from 26 g C02/km and up to 59 km of 100% electric range. The Hybrid 180 e offers the combination of a 150hp engine (110kW) and an 81kW electric engine with C02 emissions from 25g C02/km and up to 60km of 100% electric range.  Each plug-in hybrid engine works with a 12.4 kWh lithium-ion battery. Depending on the charging stations, the charging times range between 2 and 7 hours.

Better connectivity and safety for professionals

Peugeot 308 SW’s Peugeot i-Cockpit is equipped with a 3D digital headset and a 10-inch digital display. The new Peugeot i-Connect Advanced technology provides an improved infotainment system, while the physical climate control panel is replaced with fully configurable i-toggles, offering a shortcut for specific functions.

Peugeot 308 SW aims to create a digital cockpit identical to a smartphone environment while boosting connectivity with four USB-C sockets, wireless mirroring and the ability to connect two smartphones through Bluetooth.

Road safety is strengthened with the Drive Assist 2.0 technology, which offers adaptive cruise control with Stop and Go function and lane departure warning system. Also, three additional features include semi-automatic lane change, early speed recommendation and curve speed adaptation.
