Peugeot 208 is Car of the Year 2020
Geneva motor show or not, the jury has decided and chose the Peugeot 208 as the winner of this year’s COTY election. Runner-up was the Tesla Model 3, the Porsche Taycan took the bronze.
What makes the Peugeot 208 stand out, apart from its design and advanced technologies for a B-segment car, is that it’s available with a wide variety of powertrains, from petrol and diesel all the way to all-electric.
The Car of The Year trophy is the most coveted award in the European industry. Its jury is made up of 60 automotive expert journalists from 23 European countries. Founded in 1964, it is also the oldest award.
Nearly 110,000 customers have already ordered the new Peugeot 208 since its launch in early October 2019 in Europe. 15% of the versions ordered are electric, says Peugeot.
