Steffen Krautwasser is European Green Fleet Manager of the Year 2020

The recipient of the European Green Fleet Manager of the Year award is Steffen Krautwasser, Head of Global Car Fleet at SAP.

The accolade was presented by Mark Howlett, Fleet Sales Manager at Kia Motors Europe.

"I feel very honoured to receive this award," said Mr Krautwasser upon receiving the award during the online ceremony. "I also want to thank my whole team that supports the strategy of SAP. I'm very proud to work closely together with our HR department, with our Sustainability department and of course with Finance."

The European Green Fleet Manager of the Year award celebrates the fleet manager within a multinational company that has proved success regarding the emission strategy of the vehicle fleet with the focus on powertrain selection, fuel efficiency optimisation and innovation in eco-friendliness.

Technology company SAP has an overall goal of reaching zero CO2 emissions by 2025. In order to make that possible, Mr Krautwasser introduced CO2 limits and alternative powertrain choices in all car policies including a bonification system. The global goal is to have one third of the fleet electrified by 2025. Today SAP’s fleet consist of 2,300 hybrid vehicles and more than 500 full electric vehicles.

Mr Krautwasser also introduced a flexible mobility pilot that provides a virtual budget for private mobility instead of the company car.

The SAP fleet has 26,800 vehicles worldwide, 23,500 of which are in Europe.
