Dutch petrol station owners can install their own EV chargers next to third-party ones

The Dutch State Council has ruled against charging network operator Fastned, which appealed against a Dutch Ministerial decision to allow petrol station owners to install their own chargers after having integrated chargers from a third party.

The petrol station Den Ruygen Hoek West wanted to install its own chargers after already having allowed Fastned to install theirs on the premises. Fastned appealed, saying the extra chargers are a safety hazard and put Fastned in an unfair competitive position, but now lost the case.
