Scandinavia pizza chain goes EV with Pod Point

Electric vehicle charging provider Pod Point has an exclusive partnership with Peppes Pizza, Scandinavia’s largest pizza chain.

Since August 2018 Pod Point is installing EV chargepoints for the Peppes Pizza delivery branches in Norway. The chargepoints, which will be used by Peppes staff and delivery vehicles, are a key element of the company’s plans to electrify its 120-strong fleet. Pod Point will also be the recommended supplier for Peppes Pizza’s 42 franchisees.

60,000 chargepoints
The EV charging provider will provide Peppes Pizza, which is owned by the Umoe Restaurants Group, with a fully managed service, including initial consultation and site surveys through to installation and maintenance. Meanwhile, its back-end Smart Reporting platform will enable Peppes Pizza - which delivers 11,000 pizzas a day across Norway, clocking up to a total of 2.200 000 kilometres per year - to monitor its carbon dioxide savings against its sustainability targets.

Pod Point was founded in 2009. Since its inception, Pod Point has sold more than 60,000 chargepoints in the UK and Norway.
