Luca de Meo steps down as CEO of Seat, move to Renault rumoured
Seat has announced the resignation of Luca de Meo, President, as of today. He will remain a member of the Group until further notice.
Seat Vice President for Finance Carsten Isensee will assume the presidency of Seat until further notice, while also continuing with his functions.
The Spanish carmaker said the resignation came on Mr de Meo’s own request and in common agreement.
Rumours have it Mr de Meo could be the next CEO of Renault. Since Carlos Ghosn’s much publicised departure from Renault, the CEO position has been filled by Thierry Bolloré, who was later replaced by Clotilde Delbos.
