1,000 new EV charge points for London
The electric vehicle market in London received a shot in the arm this week with news that the capital is to gain 1,000 new charge points across the city. BluepointLondon, the company behind the Source London network of recharging points, says it has almost 1,000 chargers in a warehouse awaiting installation.
The new charge points will dramatically increase the current level of public chargers in Greater London, which stands at 2,954 according to Zap-Map. Sales of plug-in cars, both pure electric and hybrid, totalled 47,263 vehicles last year in the UK.
