Autorola expands online remarketing into Turkey
Online remarketing specialist Autorola has started its online vehicle remarketing services in Turkey with the first online used car auction, organized in May.
According to Autorola online remarketing can make live easier in Turkey from a buyer perspective as the country is 800,000 square km in size. Not only does an online auction means time optimization compared to a physical auction, but opening up stock to a wider countrywide buyer base helps increase bids and ultimately prices.
Plus buyers can bid online around the clock as stock is visible 24/7 for the duration of the auction. Autorola has set up its Turkish headquarters in Istanbul and has identified leasing and rental companies as being the major beneficiaries of online remarketing as it offers them a completely new channel which encourages more bids from a wide geographical area.
“The majority of Turkey’s used vehicle stock comes from Istanbul and the surrounding areas and when buyers make a purchase the vehicles head either south, west or east to be sold by franchised dealers and independent used car dealers,” explained Oğuzhan Saygi, Managing Director of Autorola Turkey. “For our first sale we worked with vendors to extract vehicle historical information and took photographs of each car to optimize vehicle provenance and ultimately online buyer confidence. This worked as we managed to sell a few cars in our very first sale which was a huge achievement,” he added.
