Continental Portugal developing sales channels
Continental Tyres Portugal has announced that 2016 was its second best year ever in terms of sales. Turnover from tyres sales amounted to 67.4 million Euros, down slightly from the record of 71 million Euros set in 2015.
Director General Pedro Teixeira (photo) explains that the slight decrease was a result of a reduction in the sale of tyres as original equipment for its main national customer who is in the process of adapting product cycles.
Where retail is concerned, Continental has continued its strong commitment to the development of its network of partners ContiService, which currently has 79 points of sale and which already gives the company geographical representation in Continental Portugal and Islands.
Pedro Teixeira goes on to say: “This project reinforces Continental's presence in the market. We are developing and supporting our partners in the implementation of business tools tailored to their needs, giving them greater visibility with the end consumer and enhancing the dynamization and exploration of their business”. He goes on to talk of active presence in the different sales channels throughout the business chain, with a view to continuing the creation of added value for all stakeholders, especially the end consumer and agents.
