Ex fleet and lease LCVs maintain record high prices, says BCA

In November, prices for ex-fleet and lease LCVs sold through the network of auction house BCA remained near record levels, declining by as little as £57 month-on-month. Year-on-year, values remain significantly higher and at the same time, average age and mileage has declined in comparison to the same period in 2016.

In November 2016, the average LCV sold through BCA was 40.80 months old and had 63,053 miles on the clock. Its average value was £7,201, which was 36.87% of the MRP (manufacturer's recommended price). In November 2017, the average age had gone down to 39.07, the mileage to 60,530 and the average value up to £7,727 or 38.13% of MRP.

BCA’s LCV Operations Director, Duncan Ward commented: "There is continued demand for vehicles to go straight to work in the parcel delivery and courier sectors to meet the needs of the online retailers."
