Fabia 3 million rolls off the production line
The Skoda Fabia has just seen its three millionth model roll off the production line in the Czech Republic. Since it was launched in 1999, around 1.8 million of the first generation were produced, and these have now been followed by 1.2 million of the new generation. The year 2011 saw 267,000 Fabia cars sold in Europe, an increase of 16% over the previous year. Skoda head Winfried Vahland commented: “The Skoda Fabia represents a major advantage in the success story of our brand and plays a central role in our 2018 Growth Strategy”. The three millionth model itself was a Fabia ‘Greenline’, the ecologically-friendly range of Skoda models.
