PSA launches Carventura for peer-to-peer used-car sales
PSA Group has launched Carventura.com, a web platform for peer-to-peer used-car sales.
Carventura is designed to increase the sense of security for both buyers and sellers in the peer-to-peer used-car market in France, which generally suffers from the same lack of consumer confidence as unmediated used-car markets elsewhere.
PSA aims to overcome this by endowing its new web platform with a number of services and tools, to certify the quality of the vehicle and securitise the transaction. These include:
→ A 200-point inspection, plus a full road test.
→ An online anti-fraud solution securing the identities of both buyers and sellers, and certifying payment.
→ A six-month mechanical breakdown warranty.
→ A car-seeker tool, paperwork management, and vehicle delivery anywhere within mainland France.
Carventura.com broadens PSA's involvement with the used-car space, and is in alignment with Push to Pass, with digital transformation a key element of that plan. In the coming months, Carventura will start including services like vehicle trade-ins, financing, insurance, maintenance and reconditioning.
“PSA's strategy is to support all customers in their car-related mobility project, through our brand networks, multi-brand e-commerce platforms and now peer-to-peer marketplaces”, says Marc Lechantre, the Group's VP for used-car business.
