Record year for BCA used car sales
In line with the booming UK new car market – which has continued to spectacularly buck the European trend during the crisis – BCA has reported that the phenomenon extends to the used car market. The remarketing specialist has seen a record year in 2013, selling well above 600,000 units for the first time, helped by a strong fourth quarter.
BCA Managing Director Spencer Lock commented: “Last year we not only delivered a record breaking volume performance, but we made significant progress with many of our key strategic objectives. We won significant new business across the dealer, contract hire and leasing segments and maintained our position as the most comprehensive source of used stock for professional buyers. We also accelerated the deployment of our Appraise, Value & Sell tools across the dealership sector and made substantial and on-going investment in our online platforms because our buyers tell us they want to access used stock 24/7, 365 days a year”.
