PSA/Aramisauto.com buys Belgian car retailer Cardoen
Belgian car supermarket Cardoen has been acquired by Aramisauto.com, itself owned by French carmaker PSA. Cardoen operates 13 outlets in Belgium and mainly sells new cars purchased abroad. Last year, the group sold 13,000 cars with an average retail price of 15,000 euros, according to Belgian newspaper De Tijd.
Whereas Cardoen is mainly an old-school physical retailer, its new owner is highly digitalised and specialises in online vehicle sales in France and Spain. Last year, Aramisauto.com sold 36,000 vehicles. With its latest acquisition, the French company expands its territory to the North.
