ADESA Europe has new negotiating tool for buying and selling used cars

ADESA Europe is offering buyers and sellers of used vehicles a new tool to negotiate the final price of a used vehicle after the auction has ended. This is an additional opportunity to complete a sale to the satisfaction of both parties, says the online used vehicle auction specialist.
Unlike before, when sellers only had the option to accept or reject the highest bid on their auction, they can now make a counter-offer that better reflects the value of the vehicle in question.
This opens up more options for buyers who may have underbid, and for sellers, who want to move their stock quickly without going through the hassle of multiple auctions.
« Deciding how much to bid on a vehicle can be difficult. You don’t want to overbid and pay more than necessary. But you also don’t want to underbid, and miss out on the car,” says Johan Meyssen (pictured), CEO of ADESA Europe. “Via this negotiating tool, buyers can raise their bid and still buy cars they would otherwise have missed out on.”
Once a seller makes a counter offer, both parties have 24 hours to exchange offers and reach a new agreement. There’s no limit to the number of bids that can be exchanged (on the mobile-friendly platform adesa.eu). But if no agreement is reached within the assigned period, the sale will be halted.
