Stellantis launches used-vehicle e-commerce solution

Following a successful trial in Belgium, Stellantis Owned Retail has adopted SelliWay as the platform to digitise its used-vehicle business.

SelliWay, which is integrated with the used-vehicle expert tool bee2link, enables 100% of the sale of used vehicles to take place online, from vehicle trade-in to e-payment and delivery.

A proof of concept was carried out from December 2020 to April 2021 at the Stellantis Owned Retail subsidiary in Belgium. This trial period made it possible to experiment with the tool in a real-life test environment.

During the trial, 10% of total sales were performed via SelliWay, eliminating the need for customers to be physically present. The customer is guided through all key stages of the purchase process, at the end of which they are free to request assistance. The addition of video, live chat, and e-signing is designed to make the customer journey simple and secure.

The tool will now be rolled out via the other European subsidiaries of the Stellantis Owned Retail Group. By the end of this year, SelliWay will be fully launched not just in Belgium, but also in Spain, France, Italy, and Portugal. In 2022, Germany, Austria, and Poland will follow.

“In addition to the traditional dealership customer journey, which will continue to remain highly attractive, this new solution illustrates our desire to offer our customers an online purchase experience that is as simple and complete, as it is interactive and user-friendly,” says Charles Clausse, Stellantis UV Director Owned Retail.
