Tchek unveils its ambitions for 2022

In 2022, Tchek will pass the symbolic milestone of 300 million vehicles analysed. In other ways too, this will be a pivotal year for the French automotive inspection specialist. With 25 additional employees, it aims to consolidate its position as European market leader in AI-based imaging solutions for the automotive industry, and conquer new markets as well.

Founded in 2016, Tchek has become a fixture on the automated car inspection market thanks to its automated solution Tchek Scan – which can analyze vehicle damage in a matter of seconds, versus up to 20 minutes when done manually. The solution is not only faster than human damage inspectors, it is also more accurate: on average capturing more than 90% of damage to the vehicle’s exterior.

€3 million

At the start of 2021, the company raised €3 million, which enabled it, among other things, to launch a suite of digital solutions, including the Tchek App. “With this app, Tchek aims to become indispensable for automotive mobility players, by adapting our services to all their use cases”, says Anton Fert, co-founder and CEO of Tchek.

That seems to be working. For despite the constraints imposed by the pandemic and the semi-conductor shortage, Tchek managed to triple its turnover in 2021, adding companies like Fast Lease, Ubench, Serenimax and Avis Budget to its list of customers. In terms of geography too, the company has continued to expand, to new markets including Italy, the UK, Belgium, Sweden, Morocco, and the UAE.

Beyond inspection

One of Tchek’s unique selling propositions is that it goes well beyond mere vehicle inspection. For example, the company has developed a complete process to facilitate the remote recovery of vehicles by automotive distributors. In other words: Tchek can support the transformation of a wide array of players in the automotive space: OEMs and logistics providers, rental and lease companies, distributors, insurance companies, etc.

In the spring of 2022, Tchek will present various innovations: new features for its mobile app, a new and even more advanced autonomous image capture solution, and a new version of Tchek Scan integrating all functions developed by Tchek over the past five years.
