“Meet, discuss and network with your remarketing peers”

As per annual tradition, the Remarketing Forum will be held on the first day of the Fleet Europe Summit – which this year takes place on 16 and 17 November in Dublin. Why should you attend the Remarketing Forum? We asked Wolfgang Reinhold (pictured), president of the European Car Remarketing Association (CARA), one of the event’s sponsors.

Check out the programme for the Fleet Europe Remarketing Forum and register to attend.

Your company sponsors the Remarketing Forum, which takes place on the first day of the Fleet Europe Summit on 16-17 November in Dublin. Why is this important for you?

“Fleet Europe’s first Remarketing Forum took place in Hamburg in 2015. That’s where we established that the European remarketing industry needed an organization like CARA, which was founded the next year at the second Remarketing Forum in Rome. Ever since, CARA and the Remarketing Forum have enjoyed a close relationship. We appreciate that Fleet Europe literally provides a forum for the remarketing industry at its annual summits. And we schedule our own General Assemblies to coincide with these events. Why? Simply, because the Remarketing Forum the is best and only place where you can meet top people from across the entire Europe-wide vehicle remarketing industry, where you can discuss topics that interest remarketers, and where you can network with peers and prospects.”

For its 2022 edition in Dublin, the Remarketing Forum will focus on the three trends disrupting the industry today: Electrification, Distribution and Digitisation. In your opinion, how can remarketers make the most of these trends?

“I could formulate an answer, but I think the best way for remarketers to react to these three trends is to attend the Remarketing Forum, where they will be discussed by experts. So: come to Dublin, listen to the presentations about these market trends and other hot topics for the remarketing industry, discuss them with their colleagues, and go home with the knowledge and contacts that will help your business!”

Finally, can you tell us a bit about your own upcoming contribution to the Remarketing Forum?

“We will be presenting a CARA workshop on the outcome of our work on the Battery Health Check. As you know, remarketing an EV comes with very different challenges from selling a used petrol or diesel car. The biggest difference is the crucial importance of battery health – and the biggest problem there is how to establish a generally accepted certification for the state of EV battery health. That has been one of CARA’s focus points in the last few years, and in Dublin, we’ll reveal our progress in this matter. If you want to know more: see you there!”
