BCA parent acquires Rockingham Motor Speedway

Constellation Automotive Group has acquired Rockingham Motor Speedway (pictured) in Corby (UK) for £80 (€93) million.

The Group, which owns BCA, WeBuyAnyCar, and cinch, says it will use the former motor-racing venue to stock and prepare used cars. The new addition will double Constellation’s capacity to prepare used vehicles from 100,000 to 200,000 a year.

Rockingham Motor Speedway (not to be confused with Rockingham Speedway in North Carolina, US) covers about 200 acres in a location close by BCA’s headquarters in Corby, Northamptonshire, which sits on a terrain of another 200 acres.

On its enlarged premises, Constellation is planning to build not just a centre to recondition, stock, and redistribute used vehicles, but also an academy for its mechanics, quality inspectors, and support staff. It is expected to open in 2022. In all, the investment will create 500 new jobs.
