Halsberghe heads InMotiv Belux
Lease industry veteran Wim Halsberghe has been appointed to as the new managing director of InMotive Belgium/Luxembourg, a subsidiary of Netherlands-based automotive data specialist RDC. He succeeds René Willigenburg.
Mr Halsberghe (pictured) started his career in the leasing industry back in 1996, acquiring extensive experience in automotive retail. Following four years as leasing advisor with LeasePlan Belgium, in 2000 he switched to UK-based online car retailer oneswoop.com, moving back to Belgium in 2002 for three years as Account Manager Fleet & Lease at Opel. He then spent 5 years at Fleet Synergy International, which was eventually integrated into Athlon.
In 2010, his experience in international sales and marketing facilitated a switch to the software and data services industry, eventually as an independent consultant. That background, in turn, will prove helpful for his current ambition – helping OEMs, dealers and lessors with their digital needs.
Mr Halsberghe is not entirely new to InMotiv Belgium – in 2014, he provided consultancy services to the company, which is headquartered in Antwerp. He was involved with the launch of Autoconnect Care, an automation software package aimed at dealerships, among other projects.
Over the years, InMotiv has earned its credentials as a reliable partner for government entities and insurance companies when it comes to vehicle registration procedures. Mr Halsberghe wants to build on that trust, using innovation to add value to its services.
