Enterprise and Liftshare collaborate in car sharing offer

Enterprise and Liftshare offer revolutionary car sharing offer

Enterprise Car Club and sharing economy provider Liftshare have partnered up to launch a “revolutionary car sharing offer” in the UK.

Within a scheme dubbed “Shared Asset Model” (SAM), people can share a low emission Enterprise Car Club vehicle. It works on the principle that the vehicle is driven to work, shared with a colleague (or colleagues) and is then available for use during the day by employees, or the general public.

Cutting congestion

The vehicle is also available on evenings and weekends, through the car club, on a pay-as-you-go basis. The benefits of the scheme mean fewer vehicles on the road, fewer empty seats on the daily commute, low emission vehicles replacing older, more polluting ones and a reduced need for car parking spaces.

The scheme utilises Liftshare’s Trip Authentication and Smart Parking technologies to ensure people parking in allocated sharing bays are genuine sharers.

Liftshare and Enterprise are already speaking to private and public sector organisations about introducing the Shared Asset Model.
