Mobility app Gaiyo expands into Belgium and welcomes new partners

Netherlands-based mobility app Gaiyo has announced an expansion into Belgium. Private and business mobility users can now use the app to access various transport options, including shared e-bikes, scooters, parking facilities and public transport.

As Belgium and The Netherlands are neighbours, users can seamlessly travel between the two countries as required. Gaiyo has also announced new partnerships with Felyx and Greenwheels to expand its offering, including TIER e-bikes, e-steps, Cargoroo e-cargo bikes, ParkBee, and Donkey Republic. The Flemish public transport company De Lijn is also included.

Expanding mobility to increase sustainability

Lucien Groenhuijzen, CEO of Gaiyo, stated, "A more sustainable future begins with smarter mobility. Our objective is to make shared mobility accessible to all, regardless of location. With our expansion into Belgium and the addition of Felyx and Greenwheels as strategic partners, we are one step closer to realising our goal of reducing CO2 emissions by 70,000 tons within five years."

Gaiyo has experienced a 600% growth rate in the Dutch consumer market and acquired Mobility Mixx in 2022, which enabled it to better serve corporate clients by providing services such as travel using OV-chip cards, fueling, charging, mobility budget management, and employee CO2 emissions tracking.
