External car-sharing to cut TCO in France

In France, Drivy and Kuantic have announced the launch of a scheme in partnership, designed to provide a turnkey solution to reduce fleet ownership costs by up to 60%

The scheme works by making company cars available for private individuals to use as car-sharing vehicles, at times when these cars would otherwise, for example, simply be parked at the office doing nothing, or at the weekend if not used by their normal drivers.
Vehicles involved are connected via the Kuantic box, and are therefore available for use by the 2.5 million subscribers to the Drivy platform. In principle, users would have the cars for a few hours or a few days. Opening the selected vehicle would be via a smartphone app.
